Project summary
The project aims to improve the general efficiency of energy supply in Dneprodzezhinsk city and to reduce the fossil fuel (natural gas) consumption due to the usage of alternative energy sources (low potential heat energy of water from Dnieper river) and the modern cogeneration complex.
The project envisages the implementation of heat pumps together with the modern gas-piston cogeneration facilities for provision of hot water and heat supply in Livoberejniy region of Dneprodzezhinsk city.
Technology to be employed by the project
The project activity includes the installation of:
- 2 modern gas-piston engines of combined cycle with the electrical capacity of 5,75 MW and with heat capacity of 4,7 MW;
- the system of heat pumps with the total capacity of 30,1 MW;
- subsidiary equipment.
Emission reduction of СО2
The emission reduction units are achieved due to reduction of natural gas consumption.
The presented project was included to the list of projects for the primary implementation according to the direction of CMU № 609-r of 20th May, 2009.
