Project summary
The project aims to reduce the fossil fuel (natural gas) consumption and to improve environment due to the usage of the alternative energy sources (low potential heat energy of water from Teteriv river).
The project envisages the implementation of heat pumps together with the modern gas-piston cogeneration facilities for provision of energy supply in Zhitomir city.
Technology to be employed by the project
The project activity consists in installation of:
- heatl pumps with the total capacity of 13.4 MW;
- gas-piston engines with the electricity capacity of 3.8 MW and with the heat capacity of 3.1 MW;
- subsidiary equipment.
Emission reduction of СО2
The emission reduction units are achieved due to reduction of natural gas consumption.
The presented project was included to the list of projects for the primary implementation according to the direction of CMU № 609-r of 20th May, 2009. .
