Project summary

The project avtivity aims to improve quality of intermediate products such as pig iron, to increase competitiveness of the plant at the market, to reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, and also of greenhouse gases (GHGs). The realization of the project should transfer the PJSC "AISW" into one of the most modern steel enterprises of Ukraine.

Technical aspects of the project

Project activity includes:

  • introduction of the new blast furnace (BF) № 2;
  • introduction of new sinter plant;
  • installation of the oxygen units № 7, 8;
  • renewal and reconstruction of BFs № 1, 3, 4, 5;
  • technological improvements of the BF's operation and sintering process.

  1. decrease of coke consumption, and also of another types of fuel and materials during the process of pig iron smelting;
  2. decrease of fuel consumption during the process of agglomerate production etc.
